HRS’s Growth and Leadership Opportunity for Women in Electrophysiology (GLOWE) program addresses women’s opportunities and challenges within the context of an EP career and will help participants put effective, collaborative methods of leadership to work within HRS and their organizations. Participants will focus on developing leadership skills and personal influence as well as exploring strategies for goal development and advancement strategies.  

GLOWE offers women electrophysiologists with a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership and career development skills through education, coaching, and building professional networks. The purpose of GLOWE is to provide the knowledge and skills needed to enhance the path to leadership within HRS and academic or private practice medicine. Focus areas will include strategic communication skills, negotiation practices, management, and conflict resolution. As the leading organization for EP leaders, the value of being a part of this career-shaping experience is unparalleled. The 2025-2026 GLOWE program will be led by Chair Kamala Tamirisa, MD, FHRS and Vice Chair Usha Tedrow, MD, MS, FHRS

The 2025-2026 GLOWE Class Schedule:

• April 24, 2025:  Reception at Heart Rhythm 2025(expenses not covered by HRS)
• September 3-4, 2025: Leadership Retreat at HRX in Atlanta, GA ( lodging expenses covered by HRS)
• November 2025: Webinar
• February 2026: Leadership Retreat (all expenses covered by HRS) *exact dates TBD
• March 2026: Webinar
• April 2026:  Reception at Heart Rhythm 2026 (travel expenses to meeting not covered by HRS)

Applications for the 2025-2026 GLOWE class will open on January 6, 2025 and close on February 3, 2025. All applicants will be notified of their application status by March 14, 2025.
